The location of this viewpoint is from above Edgewater Resort on the shores of Lake Wānaka, which also happens to be the neighbourhood where I grew up and the location of one of the tree huts built by my brothers and I. It wasn't until I was an adult that I actually realised how beautiful the view is from that spot!
