Hi I’m Bridget
I’m a Kiwi artist living in the small South Island town of Wanaka, New Zealand. I have a strong sense of connection to the mountains from growing up in Wanaka surrounded by the stunning Southern Alps and many years living the life of a competitive skier doing year round winters in North America, Europe and New Zealand.
I then followed a career as a graphic designer with New Zealand Snowboarder, New Zealand Skier and New Zealand Skateboarder magazines for 10 years. I also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Massey University.
In 2013 I started Bridget Hall Design – creating art prints and greeting cards and selling online through my Etsy Store, to local design stores and at art markets. This art is inspired by the ever-changing drama and beauty of the natural world, it provokes a sense of connection and history in a modern way with much of the work focused on geometric and contemporary abstract mountain art. I have been overwhelmed and humbled by the amazing feedback from my customers all over the world as they too feel the connection with many of the places that are depicted in my art.
Wanaka, New Zealand is my hometown. My family moved to this special place in 1971 and I moved back here in 2009.
This is my family: Billy, Bridget, Ava and David
